Ce bol en grès a été façonné à la main puis orné à l’aide de la technique du napperon, qui consiste à presser un tissu à motif dentelé dans l’argile encore fraîche afin d’y imprimer un décor délicat. Une couche d’engobe bleu a ensuite été appliquée, rehaussant les reliefs du motif et accentuant l’effet de dentelle.
L’ensemble est recouvert d’une couverte transparente, appliquée aussi bien à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur, offrant une finition brillante et une surface lisse tout en protégeant la pièce.
